Join 4KIDS as we welcome Southwest Florida to an incredible conversation with Peter Mutabazi, an international advocate for children, who has fostered 41 children and adopted 3, all as a single Dad. Together, we will examine how we can come together as a community to make a meaningful difference in the lives of hundreds of foster children and families in crisis here in Southwest Florida.
Born in Uganda, Peter spent 5 years on the streets until a man rescued him, providing him a home. Peter learned about foster care in the U.S. after his parents sent him to America for higher education in his early twenties. His challenging childhood has given him an incredibly unique (and compelling!) perspective. As an African-immigrated citizen AND a former foster child himself—Peter provides inspirational talks on foster care, adoption, child advocacy, and parenting. As a true overcomer, he encourages listeners to love those around them and choose to see the hope in their stories, while shining a light on the foster care crisis in our nation. Peter is an adoptive dad to 3 and currently fosters 4 children.
